Notwithstanding that the kid will make money sooner than later, can anyone tell me how this new NIL is good for college football?

I was one of the ones who believed that kids should not get paid, but slowly came to the realization that they should no longer be pawns in the zillions of dollars that the NCAA makes. But there needs to be some rules here, to keep this from spiraling out of control. Or is it too late already?
